Ok, so here’s another review. Today, it’s the SEESII WH710 impact wrench. I tested it against my Makita XWT042, my RYOBI One + PSBWI25K1 and my brothers DeWalt DCF891b; all similar 1/2” impacts.
The first up, Makita. It cost me just under $200 on sale. The tool retails at $224. That’s tool only. Anyhow, the Makita is rated at 325 ft lbs of breakaway torque. It’s accurate. We tested it thoroughly. The machine tackles everything we have thrown at it in the garage. From removing wheels, accessories and cylinder heads, no issues. The manufacturer claims 1600 RPM max with 2200 IPM. There’s no reason to dispute that. Coupled with a 3 year warranty and great customer service….. not bad at all.
Then the RYOBI. I bought it on sale for just around $100. It’s $139 retail. The manufacturer rates it at 275 ft lbs of breakaway torque. Spins way faster than my beloved Makita at 2900 (and it’s actually noticeable), making 3800 IPM. Again, no arguments here. Removes wheels and takes apart motors like a champ. Btw, great job rebuilding your image RYOBI. Leaps and bounds ahead of your old stuff. Plus, your 3 year warranty and great customer service help.
Then, there is my brother’s DeWalt. I must say, it’s nice. With 800 ft lbs of torque, there isn’t much it cannot tear apart. It spins at a decent 2000 rpm and can do 3100 IPM. My brother paid $279 (tool, one battery and a charger) though, at the big HD, making this the most costly of the bunch. But, as we all know, DeWalt makes nice stuff and they customer service will never leave you hanging when and if that 3 year warranty needs to be used.
Finally, my new and highly coveted SEESII. Well, the WH710 didn’t disappoint. Nicely built. Came with a great looking case, two batteries and the charger. Best offerings out of the 4 so far. Oh, btw, I paid well under $100 on sale. It retails for just over $100.
To move this along, the SEESII measures 665 ft lbs of breakaway torque. A monster. It pull apart motors, removes accessories, handles pretty much what ever I throw at it without any strain. It spins at 2400 rpm and handles 3000 IPM. Additionally, it has a 3 year warranty and based upon my contacts with questions, their customer service is pretty fantastic.
There it is folks, simple, unbiased opinions and info. With 3 decades of car restoration and modification behind me, a garage full of Makita, RYOBI One +, full access to a bevy of DeWalt tools and many others…….out of these 4……I’d have to surprisingly say, I’d pick the SEESII based on build quality, performance and price. All were great but SEESII is truly becoming a major player. If they keep their prices reasonable, they will probably expand and grow past others in the market.
Great job, SEESII. Wonderful products.
